For this week’s Wednesday Reblog, I wanted to pop back up a flight I took about 6 years ago from St George to Phoenix (and then onward to Dallas and then eventually Richmond). I recently flew from a very small airport and was reminded of this flight
I had gone hiking with some friends, and this airport had been on my radar for a while because it had recently been rebuilt so that it could expand. Just before the pandemic, American had started flights to Dallas, but during the pandemic, they reduced service back to only Phoenix. Currently (2026), there are 5-6 destinations around the western U.S. The airport is extremely convenient for getting to Bryce Canyon or Zion National Park, so I’m hopeful that they will add (at least seasonal) service to San Francisco at some point!
