For this week’s Wednesday Reblog, I wanted to contrast a very short flight I had in a Flagship First Class seat from JFK to Boston with my intra-Texas E175 I reblogged a couple weeks ago.
There was a short period coming out of the pandemic (when American and JetBlue still had a Northeast partnership) that they coordinated their schedules in JFK. As part of that, AA started flying A321Ts between JFK and Boston. I assume the reason was to improve aircraft utilization for these aircraft that normally only serve transcontinental routes. But you’d think that would have been even more necessary without the partnership. Anyway, I went out of my way to fly this plane on a short route simply for the novelty of it!
