After having a great time at my friends’ wedding and attending a British Airways event in NYC, it was time to head back to California. I didn’t have any specific plans on when I needed to head back, so I was able to remain flexible until a good flight popped up. And the flight thatContinue reading “June EuroTrip Part 5: New York to San Francisco. Flagship First Transcontinental to finish!”

June EuroTrip Part 4B: London to New York (Club World)
After exiting the lounge and scanning my boarding pass at the gate, it was time to begin the final part of the journey: heading to my friends’ wedding! I boarded the plane through door 2 and then turned left into the mini Club World cabin. My flight was on BA’s 777-300ER, which is its biggestContinue reading “June EuroTrip Part 4B: London to New York (Club World)”
June EuroTrip Part 4A: London to New York (British Airways Club Lounge B gates)
For the second to last part of my trip to summer trip to Europe, I needed to get to New York to go to a wedding. The wedding was in Upstate New York, so it made sense to me to fly to New York City and coordinate with other people coming from San Francisco. ThatContinue reading “June EuroTrip Part 4A: London to New York (British Airways Club Lounge B gates)”
June EuroTrip Part 3: Milan to London
On my way back from Milan, I had intentionally set up an overnight layover in London, since British Airways tickets let you take a free stopover in London. This “stopover” was technically just a layover, however, because I stayed in London for less than 24 hours. Specifically, this meant that I didn’t need to payContinue reading “June EuroTrip Part 3: Milan to London”
June EuroTrip Part 2: LHR to Milan Linate… in “Euro Traveller”
After about 4 days in England, it was time for a short 2-day trip to Milan, Italy (LIN). The only reason for this trip was to reposition for my trip back to the US to take advantage of cheaper fares when leaving some European airports compared to starting in the US or UK. Because IContinue reading “June EuroTrip Part 2: LHR to Milan Linate… in “Euro Traveller””
June EuroTrip: England and Italy. Part 1: Flagship First Class SFO-LAX-LHR
It’s time to begin a new trip to Europe! Taking a short trip in April and then another trip in June ended up being a bit tiring, but I had such fun flights that I couldn’t complain too much. I had booked a flight SFO-LHR in premium economy as the return leg of my flightContinue reading “June EuroTrip: England and Italy. Part 1: Flagship First Class SFO-LAX-LHR”
April Europe Weekend/Review Trip! Part 5: Los Angeles to San Francisco
There is one final flight to report on from the April trip! A simple connection from LAX to SFO. I’ve done flights between the SF Bay and Los Angeles any number of times before (mostly on Alaska and Southwest), so I was looking forward to seeing if anything was any different on American Airlines. MyContinue reading “April Europe Weekend/Review Trip! Part 5: Los Angeles to San Francisco”
April Europe Weekend/Review Trip! Part 4: Helsinki to Los Angeles
After arriving into Helsinki, I proceeded directly to my next flight. I did not run through the airport, but I did walk with purpose. If I missed the flight, they would’ve (probably) just rebooked me onto the flight to New York and all would’ve been fine, so I wasn’t bothered if I missed it. IContinue reading “April Europe Weekend/Review Trip! Part 4: Helsinki to Los Angeles”
April Europe Weekend/Review Trip! Part 3: Budapest back to Helsinki
Switching back to my April Europe trip, we have another intra-European Business Class flight on Finnair! Finnair’s strongest offerings are, like most airlines, from their main hub. Budapest is not a particularly large airport, but it does offer multiple lounges. The Skycourt lounge was the default lounge for Finnair, but there was also the PlazaContinue reading “April Europe Weekend/Review Trip! Part 3: Budapest back to Helsinki”
Flagship First on my favorite route in reverse! BOS-LAX
After my great LAX-BOS flight in Flagship First, I decided to do it again in reverse! I’m of the opinion that upgrading on the westbound transcontinental flights is the better deal because the upgrade usually costs the same as the eastbound version but the flight time is longer, so the cost per time is lower. Continue reading “Flagship First on my favorite route in reverse! BOS-LAX”
