It’s time for my final flight of 2025! It’s not a particularly interesting flight by itself, but I got some pictures of the Delta SkyClub in Boston, so I figured it would be worth including! This was also my last flight as a Delta Platinum Medallion member; in 2026, I only have Delta Silver Medallion, so probably no more free upgrades for me. In my 2026 retrospective, we’ll check how many upgrades I actually got as a Platinum member. But for this regional flight, I’ll be in Delta Comfort. Delta claims it’s a separate class of service, but I am extremely unconvinced. And on this regional flight, spoiler: there really was no difference except extra legroom.
Flights from Richmond aren’t really ever the most interesting because there are no lounge options, but at least the airport is small. Security is not efficient, however, so it’s not quite as seamless as one might expect elsewhere.
But at least boarding was on time! And I ended up boarding early to get some pictures!

Now, as much as I would’ve liked an upgrade to clear, on a short regional flight like this one, it’s not really necessary. Though I do find it odd how infrequently my upgrades to Richmond have cleared on Delta. I guess it’s a similar reason to why airlines fly the CRJ-550 to Richmond: Richmond does have the premium demand, even if it doesn’t have enough demand to fill up the back of the plane.

But the E175’s seats were very nice nonetheless for a short regional flight. I don’t have any pictures of the inflight service because all they offered was water, so I passed. I think I might have been able to request something more since I was sitting in Comfort, but it wasn’t worth the imposition.
Upon arrival into Boston, I was hungry, so it was time for a quick stop at the SkyClub! Stopping here both meant that (a) I didn’t have to pay for dinner and (b) I could get some pictures for the blog.

Let’s zoom in a bit:

The spread was pretty good, but the whole thing felt quite a bit smaller than you normally get at a Delta SkyClub. I think that’s because Delta has three lounges split across two terminals (A and E), and I was in the smaller SkyClub in A. I’ll update this next time I’m in Boston if that turns out to be wrong. I’ll also note that this was my first time in a while that I didn’t go to the Chase Sapphire Lounge in Boston. But I can’t really complain that much because I was able to put together a perfectly serviceable dinner for myself:

And with that, the 2025 flights come to a close.
In summary, this short flight to Boston was all I needed it to be. An “upgrade” to Comfort was nice, but not really necessary or very different from the main cabin. The liunge in Boston was just normal (3/5), the seat was fine (3/5), the service was fine (4/5), the beverage service was below par (2/5), and the IFE was standard (3/5). Overall, the flight was pretty unforgettable (15/25) and actually would’ve scored higher if it had been an economy flight because the drink service would’ve gotten a 3 instead of a 2.
There’s going to be one more travel review from 2025, and it’ll be both a review update and an experiment for a new rating system. And then we’ll move on to the retrospective, so stay tuned!
