I’ve got a fun guest post for everyone today. My friend Valerie was traveling on Southwest transcontinentally and had a layover at Chicago’s Midway airport. This club is of note because it’s the first ever to be opened at MDW airport!
“The Club” is a brand of airport lounges that you can find around the US. All the ones I’m aware of belong to Priority Pass and are all at least decent. So far on this blog, we’ve covered The Club at San Jose and The Club at New Orleans (also a Valerie flight!). A new location of The Club just opened recently at SFO airport, and a review of that club will be coming soon! Valerie had access to this club using her Priority Pass that she got through her Venture X card (which also gets access to Capital One lounges, like the one in DC that I’ve visited a few times)
Valerie was not expecting to be providing me with a review of this club because she didn’t realize that when she visited this club it was brand new. However, she was gracious enough to take some pictures for me. So this review does not have an associated airplane trip with it. But just know that her Southwest flight was “fine”.
The entryway was well appointed and very white:

The interior consisted primarily of one large room with an eating area:

And a lounging area:

There was a standard selection of non-alcoholic drinks available at the counter, including an espresso machine.

A small buffet was available, consisting of two hot options:

And a small salad bar, with desserts.

Alcoholic drinks were available on request at the bar:

In summary, Valerie’s trip to the new The Club MDW was great. The Club comes highly recommended from her, especially when you consider that it’s currently the only lounge available at the airport.
ooh it me
the flight was “fine” 😂
